APL maintains extensive integration, test,
and operations facilities to simplify the management of the entire spacecraft
lifecycle. The reliability of APL built spacecraft and instruments is based
on our ability to test systems ranging from microchips to complete satellite
systems. Our philosophy is to test spacecraft under conditions ranging from
ground handling through launch and orbital conditions.
Our Environmental Test facilities provides
laboratories, instrumentation, and data acquisition capability for thorough
thermal and dynamic environmental testing at all levels of flight hardware assembly.
Continual research and improvements in instrumentation, equipment and data analysis
allows our engineers to more closely simulate space conditions and environments.
Our environmental test facility also includes a vibration test laboratory and
other general mechanical test capabilities.
