More than 35 years of engineering and project management experience, with 20 years as a civil servant for the U.S. Navy and NASA. Served as TT&C Manager for NASA's Tracking and Data Relay Satellite program, as well as NASA Mission Manager for the GRACE and CALIPSO missions. Served as NASA Project Manager for the Mars Laser Communication Demonstration before working at Swales Aerospace, managing heat pipe and radiator builds for OCO II, GOES ABI and other NASA missions. Joined JHU/APL in 2007 and served as Project Manager for Van Allen Probes through development, launch and early operations. Became Program Area Manager (PAM) for Civil Space in 2012, managing a large portfolio of missions, instruments, studies, grants and proposals. Served as NASA Standing Review Board (SRB) Chair for the ICON mission and SRB member for the GRACE Follow On mission. Also served as Project Manager for the GUSTO mission and MISE instrument component development briefly while PAM. Currently serving as Deputy Project Manager for Dragonfly and Deputy Program Area Manager for Civil Space.
