Background in science analysis, with a strong focus on techniques and standards for Heliophysics and Planetary science data applications and data management. Coordianted a grass-roots effort in Heliophysics to standardize data access across data centers. Developed applications of machine learning to space weather prediction and am working on cloud-based analysis techniques that enable open sciencce to be done with large data volumes.
