Alexandra Matiella Novak joined the Johns Hopkins University Applied Phyiscs Laboratory in 2010 as an Education and Public Outreach Lead in the Space Exploration Sector. In 2014 she transitioned to a planetary mission scientist position in the Science Analysis and Applicaitons Group (SAA), assisting with lunar, Venus and Mars research, and joining the MRO/CRISM Mission Operations Team.
