Dr. Ronald J. Vervack, Jr. has spent over 30 years working on topics ranging from planetary atmospheres to infrared observations of comets and asteroids. He has worked on and/or analyzed data from numerous spacecraft and conducted ground-based observations from a number of telescopes around the world. His current projects include analyzing MESSENGER and ground-based observations of Mercury’s exosphere, spectral modeling of Rosetta/Alice observations of the coma of 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, investigating the volatile composition of comets in the infrared, and thermal modeling of asteroids to infer their surface properties.
